Dokani POS — Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Dokani POS account (by DOKANI ONLINE LLC) and all associated data.

Steps to Delete Your Account

Option 1: From the Dokani POS App

  1. Open the Dokani POS app on your device.
  2. Tap the Profile icon in the sidebar menu.
  3. Scroll to the Cloud Sync section.
  4. Sign in with the Google account linked to your Dokani account (if not already signed in).
  5. Tap "Delete Account" and confirm the deletion.
  6. Your account and all cloud data will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: By Email

  1. Send an email to support@dokanionline.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your Dokani POS account.
  3. We will verify your identity, process the deletion, and send you a confirmation email within 3 business days.

Data That Will Be Deleted

The following data will be permanently deleted from our servers immediately upon request (or within 3 business days for email requests):

  • Your account profile (name, email, authentication credentials)
  • Store settings and configuration
  • All synced business data: products, services, customers, suppliers, staff records, orders, order items, payments, and cash register sessions
  • Purchase orders and POS grid layouts
  • Subscription and add-on purchase records
  • Device activations and sync history
  • Uploaded images (product photos, store logo)

Data That Will Be Retained

  • Local device data: Data stored locally on your device in the offline database is not affected by account deletion. To remove local data, uninstall the Dokani POS app from your device.
  • Anonymized analytics: Crash reports and performance diagnostics collected via Sentry may be retained in anonymized form for up to 90 days for the purpose of improving app stability. These records cannot be linked back to your account after deletion.

No other data is retained after account deletion. There is no additional retention period for your personal or business data.

Before You Delete

  • Active subscriptions should be cancelled before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.
  • This action is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • Export your data first if you need to keep records of your orders, customers, or products.
